What is 50 Icons?

50 Icons inspired by locations of the world. The locations focus on four terrains snow, sand, grass, and ocean. Icons are created by following a set of guidelines for things like day and night, borders, and more.

Guidelines to make icons

Icon guideline
1.

Each icon has at least three colors, not including the sky color. If there is a fourth color it is used as an accent color.

Each main terrain has one color that it can be used with.

3.

The secondary terrain uses a lighter color than its main.

4.

Line color relates to the sky; dark blue for night and brown orange for day.

The bottom of the icon has the shape of its main terrain.

6.

There must be at least one line of terrain somewhere in the icon.

Terrain could be in the foreground or background but will always be aligned in the same place.

Birds are only for icons that show the sea.

Clouds are only for tall places.

A moon is always accompanied by stars.
